Our Journey into Web Design: How We Started

Web design wasn’t something we initially planned to dive into — it sort of happened step by step, and we’re glad it did! It all started in school, where we first got introduced to Html and CSS . We were fascinated by how simple lines of code could create anything from basic webpages to intricate layouts. We spent hours building frontend projects on Frontend Mentor, a platform that challenges you to create real-world designs based on provided briefs. This gave us our first taste of putting our knowledge into practice.

As we got more comfortable with the basics, we felt it was time to level up. So, we jumped into learning JavaScript through W3Schools, which opened up a whole new world of interactive websites. The idea of adding functionality — like buttons that do things, dynamic content, and interactive forms — felt like magic.

But we wanted to get real experience. We were eager to start working on projects that would give us hands-on practice and maybe even get paid for it. So, we searched through freelancing websites, and that’s when we discovered WordPress. We had no idea what it was at first, but the more we looked into it, the more intrigued we became.

We reached out to a few friends who had experience with WordPress, hoping they could shed some light on the platform. Their advice was invaluable, and we realized that WordPress wasn’t just for blogs — it was a powerful tool for building all kinds of websites. From there, we dove into YouTube tutorials, learning everything from installing themes to customizing them and even creating custom pages.

We were determined to put our new knowledge to the test, so we took on our first WordPress project. It was challenging, but the satisfaction of seeing something we created come to life on the web was so rewarding. From there, it was all about practice — step by step, we kept pushing ourselves with more complex projects. Each new challenge brought us closer to mastering the platform, and before long, we were working on real-world projects for clients, not just practice work.

Now, here we are, building websites with confidence, learning more every day, and sharing our journey along the way. Web design has turned into more than just a skill for us — it’s become a passion. And we’re excited to see where this journey will take us next.
